Twenty years ago this month—on April 1st, 2005 to be exact—we took a leap of faith (and no, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke). We became the proud second owners of Gallery 1870, a beloved family-run fine art gallery that had already been a part of the Napa Valley art scene since 1995. What started as a passion for creativity and connection has blossomed into something we could never have imagined: a thriving community built around beauty, storytelling, and the transformative power of art.
